Wonderful news from one our ESR’s- Nadine Kabbara (ESR 2) Industrial PhD at EDF R&DFrance and Utrecht University/Copernicus Institute, who participated in the IEEE Grid Edge Technologies Conference and Exposition in San Diego, CA.

Impressively Nadine was awarded the first prize of the PhD Dissertation challenge for the ‘Best Presentation’ category for her research ‘Information Model for Muti Actor Coordination in Smart Grids’.

The competition involved pitching the PhD research in 3 minutes for a general audience where 54 finalists from over 13 international countries were pre-selected to join the finals physically.
It was a great opportunity for Nadine to participate in such an event and network with academic and industry researchers tackling interesting power grid challenges.”

Congratulations Nadine!
